What is Jog Dat Dog?

Not your average dog walk.

A specialized mobile dog gym pulls up to your driveway. Inside, your dog runs on a dog-powered slatmill — no motor, no forced pace — under supervision, with the session adjusted to their conditioning and comfort. Real exercise, real enrichment, zero commute.

“Walter is a very energetic dog but he jumps the fence if he’s not on a leash so we can’t let him run in the backyard. Walks aren’t enough for Walter to expend his energy. The slatmill gives Walter an outlet to expend his energy. Walter usually starts running before Vernon has a chance to get him tethered to the slatmill. Running on the slatmill has been such a game changer for us. To top it off, Vernon is so great with Walter and Walter absolutely adores him!”

“Jog Dat Dog has been a game-changer for us. Vernon has so much patience and does a fantastic job working with each dog’s individual needs. Pancho was unsure of the slat mill on his first session, but with Vernon’s encouragement, he quickly caught on and now he absolutely loves being able to run at his own pace. He jumps right in the van and hops right up on the slat mill. Pancho is more calm, more confident, and really looks forward to Vernon’s weekly visits.”

“Vernon is amazing and sessions with Jog Dat Dog have made such a difference in our reactive puppy, Lou! He is so much more calm after his weekly buddy run with his sister, Rosey. The entire process has been easy and they make it so seamless by picking up and dropping off the dogs to our front door. I can’t recommend Jog Dat Dog enough!”

“Vernon has come out to our house multiple times and run our two dogs — a lab and a beagle mix. Both dogs love it and took no time to adjust to running on the treadmill. The great thing is they control the pace, so it doesn’t force them to run if they don’t want to. It’s great for someone like me who is not a runner and has a hard time keeping up with the fast gait my dogs want to keep!”

“I can't express how AMAZING this is for dogs! We have a tripawd dog who LOVES this and picked up on it immediately. Vernon was beyond amazing and patient and quickly earned our dog’s trust. Definitely give this a try!”

“I have seen such an improvement in my rescued bully’s destructive ways. Yesterday she sat at the door crying waiting for Vernon. She was so excited she left the house and ran right into the van. Vernon is a very exceptional trainer. So glad I found them.”

FAQ

Good questions.

Safety, equipment, scheduling, and what to expect.

What's a slatmill?

A treadmill powered entirely by the dog. There's no motor — your dog sets the pace and can stop any time.

Is it safe for my dog?

Yes. Every session is supervised by a canine coach with vet tech experience, and the run is adjusted to your dog's conditioning and comfort. We keep water, treats, and toys on hand the whole time.

Where do you go?

The Kansas City metro and all surrounding areas within a 20-mile radius of downtown.

How long is a session?

Gym sessions are 30 or 60 minutes. In-home training visits run 30–45 minutes.

Can you run more than one of my dogs?

Yes — our dual slatmills handle duo, trio, and quad sessions for dogs from the same household.

What if it's raining or cold?

The gym is a climate-controlled van, so sessions run year-round.

How do I book?

Online, any time, through our booking page. Pick a service, pick a time, done. First-time dogs start with an introductory session.
